Advisory Board – India
Ironwood’s Advisory Board is constituted by a distinguished set of people from the sports management, sports marketing, and sports journalism in India. The members of the advisory board provide thought leadership and strategic advice to shape the future direction of the institute.
Passionate about sports, Ambarish has spent more than a decade of his professional life working with the sports sector in India. From being a part of a team that conceptualised a league that germinated the seeds of the Indian Premier League to being a key spoke in organising the first ever International cycling event in the country, he’s been a part of the dynamic and growing Indian sports and entertainment industry since he graduated from EMDI, a Greycells intiative, in 2003. He currently holds a leadership position in Professional Management Group, India’s first sports marketing company, co-founded by Sunil Gavaskar.
Ardeshir Jeejeebhoy is the current Director of North East United Football Club, Mumbai.He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (International Marketing) and Personal Management (International Business) from Pune.His passion for football led him to pursue a career in Sports Management in India,starting with Procam International and Total Sports Asia. With over 15 years of professional experience in the field of sports marketing, sales and business development, Ardeshir has worked with some of the top football clubs, most notably, with Everton FCas their Partnership Sales Manager. His expertise lies in creating integrated and innovative sponsorship packages to help brands achieve sponsorship objectives through their investment in sports. His experience has led him to work with one of the leading football players in India, Baichung Bhutia, as well as managing high profile sports events such as IFA Shield. He was recently associated with DSK Shivajians FC and Liverpool FC International Football Academy as their CEO.
Indranil Das Blah is the CEO of ISL football club Mumbai City FC and COO of Kwan Entertainment and Marketing Solutions. He’s also the CEO of the Leo Lions team at the recently held Masters Champions League T20 cricket tournament in the UAE. Prior to founding Kwan in 2009, he worked as the Vice President of Globosports, Mahesh Bhupathi’ssports management company.
Raghu Iyer has been involved with the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception. He has been the CEO of Rajasthan Royals, before being appointed as chief executive of Rising Pune Supergiants. He has an experience of over twenty years, having also served Sony Entertainment Television and Discovery Channel in senior positions.
Shailee Sanghvi manages Centre Stage Entertainment, providing end-to-end solutions to brands in the form of Celebrity Content, Sponsorship Management, and Sporting Experiences. She has earlier served Percept Talent Management as its COO. One of the first graduates of EMDI, a Greycells initiative, Shaliee has had a wide experience across Celebrity Management, Relationship Management, and Talent Marketing over the last 13 years.
Siddharth leads the Sports Marketing Business at the DDB Mudra Group. His role within the organisation is to evangelise the medium of sport to build brands and achieve business objectives for the group’s clients. Prior to this he has gained expertise in the business of sport through stints at Sahara Force India Formula One Team and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has also been associated with sponsorship activation at the ICC Cricket World Cup and Franchise Management in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Vinod Mirchandani looks after Melbourne’s engagement in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, at the Australia India Institute. His role involves student recruitment, industry collaboration, student services, academic and research partnerships and alumni.
Vinod holds a Masters from the University of Buckingham and has completed the first year of his PhD in Marketing at the University of Melbourne. With over a decade of experience, he specializes in the service management industry, developing key relationships with partner academic institutions and corporate entities, and engaging an extensive alumni community.
